Sorgo: un cereale antico e gluten free

 Pasta di Sorgo, cereale arcaico gluten free e biologico italiano, pastificato in 3 versioni: naturale, con barbabietola, con carota viola.

L'aggiunta di questi due Superfoods consente l’integrazione con antiossidanti, antociani, tannini e ferro.

La Pasta di Sorgo, Sorgo e barbabietola, Sorgo e carota viola, gluten free, ha un elevato contenuto di 

  • ferro (circa il 55% del fabbisogno quotidiano), 
  • Vitamine del gruppo B (costituenti essenziali di tutte le funzioni metaboliche)

Uno studio scientifico recente riporta  : “Thus the levels of phytochemicals in sorghum and millet foods and beverages are usually considerably lower than in the grains. Notwithstanding this, there is considerable evidence that sorghum and millet foods and beverages have important functional and health-promoting effects, specifically antidiabetic, cardiovascular disease and cancer prevention, due to the actions of these phytochemicals” (J Sci Food Agric. 2015 Jan;95(2):225-37.

 

Sorghum: an ancient and gluten free cereal

Wholegrain Sorghum Pasta, gluten free, has a high content of

  • iron (approximately 55% of the daily requirement),
  • B vitamins (essential constituents of all metabolic functions)
  • phosphorus (about 41% of the RDA daily), important to maintain the proper pH in the blood, promote the absorption of calcium and consequently prevent osteoporosis, facilitates the assimilation of many vitamins and is essential for the proper functioning of cells neuronal.
  • low glycemic index, making it ideal for diabetics

 

A new scientific study says: “Thus the levels of phytochemicals in sorghum and millet foods and beverages are usually considerably lower than in the grains. Purple carrot and Beet are rich in:

  • antioxidants, substances that counteract free radicals and therefore have great importance in the prevention of all tumor diseases
  • Vitamin K helps control oral disease, particularly the onset of tooth decay in children
  • tannins, normally found in wine, are antioxidants
  • beta carotene, a precursor of Vit. A, has important role in maintaining the proper functional state of the cells
